Tasker
(c) 1996 Andrew Wood

This program runs Task Windows, allowing switching between full-screen CLI prompts.

Up to four tasks can be run; pressing Ctrl, Shift and one of the keys F1-F4 selects a task and brings it to the front. Other keys act on the current task window:

Ctrl-Shift-F5: Toggle size
Ctrl-Shift-F6: Close window
Ctrl-Shift-F7: Suspend/resume
Ctrl-Shift-F8: Kill

Ctrl-Shift-F9 opens the task status window under the mouse pointer.

Note that when starting a new task, it will have a WimpSlot of whatever the Next slot is at the time of startup. Useful commands are:

  *WimpSlot <n>K <n>K

which will set the size of the current task, and

  *WimpSlot -next <n>K

which sets the size of the Next slot.

This program can be a little slow if you are displaying graphics from a mode other than that which the Wimp is currently in. Also note that programs running in task windows will think that they are in the mode the Wimp is in, not the mode that you have set their screen sprite to be; this can occasionally cause problems, but I am not sure of how to go about fixing this. As it is, it works well enough, since it's only really meant for CLI use.

I hereby disclaim all responsibility for loss of or damage to data, equipment, people, pink frogs or whatever due to use or misuse of this program. If something goes wrong - serves you right for using dodgy PD junk...

Have fun with my program, and have a good laugh at the botchy source code...
